End-to-end automation. Solutions from prepress to post-press.
Automation is becoming a crucial factor for the printing industry. As human resources become scarcer, print runs smaller and production requirements more individual at the same time, end-to-end and intelligently networked processes are in demand. Steuber GmbH & Co. KG will be demonstrating how automation can be implemented today along the entire production chain at its next business breakfast on 15th October 2026 in Mönchengladbach.
Under the title „Automation solutions from prepress to post-press“ hereby Steuber brings together several technology providers. At the centre of attention is Horizon with automated solutions for further processing and in particular for packaging production. The programme is complemented by Beil, Screen und Tessitura, which each cover different areas of the production chain.
15th October 2026, 8.30 am – 1.30 pm in our showroom in Mönchengladbach.

At the Business Breakfast, Horizon will be demonstrating just how far automation in finishing can now be achieved. Alongside solutions for folding and perfect binding, the focus will be particularly on applications for packaging production.
With the RD-4055DM, Horizon presents a compact rotary die-cutter for short and medium runs. Die-cutting, kiss-cutting, creasing, perforating and embossing can be carried out in a single pass. This makes the solution suitable for a wide range of applications and creates the basis for automated production of a wide variety of packaging and finishing products.
Directly following this is the Pro Cut Fold Stream. The compact folding and gluing machine is designed for the efficient finishing of packaging. Die-cut blanks are folded and glued automatically. The range of applications includes folding cartons, sleeves and crash-lock bottom packaging, among others. The machine processes both offset and digital prints, making it particularly suitable for applications with short and medium runs.
The combination of the two solutions in particular brings the concept of automation to life: from punching, creasing and perforating the sheet right through to the folded and glued product, several production steps can be linked together. For print shops, this opens up exciting opportunities to produce even smaller and more customised packaging orders economically.
However, Steuber's view of automated production processes does not end with post-processing. Beil is on site with experts and is available to visitors for questions and personal discussions regarding automated logistics in the environment of plate setters. This offers the opportunity to discuss specific requirements from your own production directly with the specialists and to find out about current solutions and developments.
Screen will also be on hand with experts to answer questions and discuss all aspects of prepress. A screen imagesetter will be on display as a working model, giving visitors the opportunity to inspect the technology used at first hand. However, the main focus will be on personal dialogue regarding current developments, automation options and specific practical requirements.
Tessitura is also on board for the automation of the printing process. The networking experts provide insights into solutions that can be used to digitally support production workflows, link processes together and further increase the degree of automation in the press room. Here too, the focus is on dialogue with users and the discussion of specific issues.
The event thus deliberately pursues a holistic approach. Instead of looking at individual machines in isolation, the focus is on how automation can function across different production stages.n.
From prepress and print production through to finishing and logistics, the participating companies cover various areas of the process chain. Horizon will be demonstrating its solutions live in action, while experts from Beil, Screen and Tessitura will be on hand to answer individual questions and for direct discussions.
This topic is becoming increasingly important for printing companies and finishers. Automation can not only increase productivity, but also help to make processes more stable and reproducible, reduce manual intervention and produce smaller print runs more economically.
The business breakfast therefore offers a combination of live demonstrations, technical expertise and personal interaction. Users can experience the Horizon solutions in practice, get to know the other technologies on site and discuss their individual questions directly with the experts from the companies involved.
With the Business Breakfast on 15 October 2026, Steuber is continuing its event series as a platform for dialogue between manufacturers, users and specialists in the graphic arts industry – this time with a topic that is gaining increasing importance for the future of print production: automation from prepress to finishing.
